Vocis etymon quod attinet, λαῦρα Graecis ῥύμη est proprie, h. e. via publica s. angiportus in urbibus, ad quorum similitudinem hae Monachorum cellae exsturctae et ab invicem seiunctae nomen id suum fecisse videntur, Fullero Miscell.
